Sunday, February 18, 2007Spending my first CNY overseas sux..... but oh well, that's life eh? cos next time, i might be on duty for CNY, sucky, but i always remember wad i did this for, who i did this for and i remember he gave me so much more than what i am giving now....
last few days has been eventful.... my first eva v-day date... yesh, it's you! hah, hard to believe rite? i told u i dun really believe in valentine's so that explains everything doesn't it? =D results from last yr came out. it's better than i anticipated and i'm happy with it, very happy....=) have absolutely nothing to complain about, until i see the actual papers that is, cos then i might realise the horrible errors and realised i could have done much better. but like i told my consultant, we might seem to know what we're doing rite now (he was impressed with me and my friend when he saw us) but when exam stupidity kicks in, it's quite another matter, take away 20% of wad we just said and put in another 10% of stupid answers....=p
anyway, in case any of u wanna noe, i might be going back to nus med after all.... not that it's firmed up or anything, i've just put in my application, but i'm really up in the air as to whether i should go back or not. there's so many pros and cons to it, for example going back to nus means i can essentially kiss my 5As goodbye. it'll prob become closer to 5Cs or something.... pros will be i dun have to worry about all these admin crap, daily household running etc, and like adib said, i'll be like a god in yr 3 cos clinical stuff like taking history, examining patients, formulating diagnosis and treating patients are like my bread and butter since yr 1, but for them it's totally new? but i told him look, this is very temporary. they're smart kids, they'll catch on really quickly, like in a mth or 2? so that so-called god effect doesn't play a part in my decision at all.... all it does is to just ease the transition for me into their clinical yrs, i dun have to be trying to catch on to things cos i'm already there. all it does is put me on an equal footing....=) anyway, nuff for now, have to prepare for observed case on monday. he better not be mean and gimme a neuro case, gimme a resp pls.... lungs are easy, i'm good at breath sounds....=)
